Fiber-to-Home Broadband Grant Update: The Public Service Commission held an open meeting on 6/23/2022 to award FY2022 broadband grants.   MH Telecom, LLC dba MHTC applied for two grants in the Town of Brigham.  The Town of Brigham North grant was approved.  The orange shaded area of the included image represents the grant area. MHTC has indicated they will begin engineering the project immediately and ordering the necessary hardware to complete the project to bring fiber to the home.  The construction is expected to start Spring 2023. More information will be shared as it is made available.

Spay/Neuter Transport Event

The Iowa County Humane Society is excited to announce that they have partnered with Wisconsin Community Veterinary Clinic to offer a spay/neuter transport service on June 16, 2022.

This event will provide this important service for both dogs and cats at a fraction of the regular cost.  Pet owners who have made an appointment can drop their dog or cat in the shelter parking lot (305 County Road YZ, Dodgeville) at 7:00 pm on June 16th and pick them up at the same time the following day.

When: Drop off at 7:00 pm on June 16th and pick-up at 7:00 pm on June 17th

Where: Iowa County Humane Society – 305 County Road YZ, Dodgeville

Cost:

  • Packages for outdoor cats* (must be ear tipped) starting at $40 + transport fee of $5
  • Packages for indoor cats starting at $75 + transport fee of $10
  • Packages for dogs starting at $115 + transport fee of $20

*Barn cats, community cats, or outdoor cats all qualify for the outdoor cat package.
